The Lanka Sugar Company, since its establishment, has played a significant role in supporting both the Department of Plantation and the Factory. Historically, the Survey Division conducted land surveys for the company, dividing the land into plots and distributing them to farmers for sugarcane cultivation. In the past, these surveys relied on traditional instruments such as the theodolite, level, chain, leveling staff, Rotring pen, square sheet, planimeter, calculating scale, and protractor.

Presently, we utilize AutoCAD Civil3D, Total Station, Google Earth Pro, and Google Maps for our surveying tasks. Here are the various services we provide to the Plantation Department

Boundary Problems

We are doing three types of boundary problems. They are

·       Public Problems.

Like temples, playgrounds, public places and Schools in project area.

·       Cane lots and Paddy lots problems

Related paddy lots for cane lots.

·       Housing  Lands

Housing lands in project area owned by farmers and employees.

Land Preparation Reports

Land preparation for sugarcane cultivation is performed using company tractors. After harvest, we (the Survey Section) calculate the land areas to facilitate the recovery process for farmers.

Preparing Plans.(Plans Project)

We have too old plans for our usage with drawn using papers and tracing papers. So, we are scanning and replotting them using AutoCAD Civil3D for future (Backup Process) use and for print out various of uses

Leveling's & and giving cross sections.
